The Arch Kitchen/ Open Plan Living Room Design London

A full ground floor for a house in London - hall, staircase, kitchen, dining and living room, designed as one continuous space rather than a series of separate rooms.
The kitchen arch was the moment that landed hardest. The client's word for it, the first time she saw it finished, was "wow" - the kind of detail that either works completely or doesn't work at all. Here, it did.
Partway through, she asked to swap the kitchen stone for marble. We tried it - and once the kitchen read pale and washed out under it, she chose to go back to the original stone herself. Sometimes the safer-looking choice isn't the plainer one.
The sofa changed along the way too, and an armchair was added to the living room - small adjustments, made as the space came together rather than decided upfront.
